Neonate Imaging Sub-System - NISS-MR
MRI Compatible

A Complete Solution for Transport and MRI of Pre-Term Infants

Our neonate imaging subsystem provides a protective environment for transporting and imaging premature infants. This integrated incubator, trolley with battery backup, custom MRI (head, body) coils, ventilator, monitor and infusion pumps provides easy and safe transport to and from the NICU to anywhere within the hospital. The entire system is compatible with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy (MRS).

Tomography itself harbors hardly any risks for premature infants. For imaging the premature neonate brain MR is a versatile tool. Despite its usefulness, its utility is extremely limited for imaging sick NICU patients because of the challenges in the life support and vital systems monitoring of the infant during transport and the MRI examination.

We offer an MR compatible incubator system with integrated air temperature and humidity regulation, plus head and body coils specially developed for incubator use. We also offer an MR-capable trolley with an integrated shock absorber for transport within a clinic.
