Neonate Body Coil

The Neonate Body Coil is designed to accommodate the newborn patient population up to 3.5kg in total body weight. All pre- and term neonate patient factors are addressed with ergonomic, easy to use coil design, base and pads. Coil dimensions (diameter, length) are large enough to facilitate imaging of the torso, brain or pelvis (~15cm FOV) in one clinical setting. A high degree of RF uniformity is seen over the imaging FOV.

Two packages; stand-alone and incubator system compatible versions are available.

The stand-alone Neonate Body Coil package includes the coil, a stand-alone base for support and the following pads and straps for patient comfort and immobilization:

• Wedges (three size pairs)
• Body Pad (thick, thin)
• Forehead Straps (two)

The Neonate Body Coil (inclusive of pads) is also available as an option for use with the incubator system manufactured by our European partner, Lammers Medical Technology LMT, Germany. For details about this incubator system, please see the MR Compatible Incubator page.

The Neonate Body Coil is compatible to GE, Siemens and Philips 1.5T MR systems. 0.7 and 3.0T developments are works in progress.
